The 2016 Nigerian Customer Service Awards (NCSA) and Customer Experience Management Conference, supported by Bank of Industry (BOI) and AFP Furniture (Julius Berger), held during the 2016 International Customer Service Week at the Civic Centre, Lagos, Nigeria. Top brands were on hand to witness the unveiling of winners, and the research process that produced the winners.

Some of the research process include company service delivery process, (staff) conduct and ambiance. The research awards featured about 27 sectors of the economy.  

According to Aliyu Ilias, Coordinator of the award project, all the companies nominated and awarded were evaluated by experiencing their services (Nigeria Mystery Shoppers Provider) throughout their branches in the country. Before the unveiling, Dr. Ilias encouraged all companies evaluated to request the results of the surveys conducted on them, to help them deliver better customer services. He also encouraged winners of the 2016 edition awards not to relent in delivering great customer experience as ‘customer service deliver is a continuous activity’.

The conference themed, ‘Service Delivery in a Competitive Economy’, also featured top speakers among whom were Chiamaka Ugo-Obidike and Dayo Ayeni. Some topics discussed include Emotion and Subconscious Customer Experience and Digital Customer Service.
